KOHIMA: On Thursday, the Directorate of Information Technology & Communication hosted the 9th e Naga Summit 2023, with the theme "Digital Frontier: Exploring Opportunities in Emerging Tech," in its conference hall.

Sethrongkyu Sangtam, a special guest and advisor on information technology and communications as well as economics and statistics, stated in his speech that the relationship between governance and technology is more crucial than ever in the rapidly changing digital age.

According to him, technology has a significant influence on people's lives, the expansion of the economy, and society as a whole.

According to him, the theme captured both the spirit of innovation and the obligation to seize the opportunities presented by this new digital frontier for the benefit of society as a whole.

"Let us embrace the spirit of pioneers as we set out on this expedition into the uncharted territories of emerging technologies. In the face of the unknown, let us not be afraid, and let us not give up on our quest for knowledge,” Sangtam declared.

He expressed gratitude to the IT department for creating a space that encouraged communication, teamwork, and the exchange of knowledge. Sangtam went on to say that our combined efforts now will influence future generations' perceptions of progress. He also wished for great success at the summit. Mohammed Ali Shihab, the secretary of IT&C, stated in a brief speech that India was one of the top nations in the world for innovation and technology. He went on to say that, looking at the situation in Nagaland, it was one of the country's most dynamic and vibrant states, expanding quickly.

He made the point that while the state was having a lot of difficulties delivering development and good governance, it was also making progress in a lot of other areas. Additionally, he made the point that Nagaland should take advantage of all available opportunities and prepare to be a part of India's declaration of its development by 2047, particularly in the digital sphere.

A representative of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) also offered a brief statement. Earlier, additional director Er Asono Mor gave the vote of thanks after the director of IT&C Er Sabou Yashü had given the welcome note and keynote address. Sessions on knowledge, change, and pitching were also held later in the afternoon.
